Job Description
- Develop and maintain project cost estimates and budgets for marine and dredging projects.
- Monitor and track project costs, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors.
- Analyze cost variances and identify areas for cost savings.
- Prepare cost reports and forecasts for project management and senior leadership.
- Manage project change orders and ensure proper cost control procedures are followed.
- Review and approve invoices from vendors and subcontractors.
- Identify and mitigate project cost risks.
- Work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain a strong understanding of marine and dredging industry cost drivers.
- Utilize project management software and cost control tools
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in cost control engineering, preferably in the marine or dredging industry.
- Strong understanding of cost estimating, budgeting, and cost control principles.
- Experience with project management software and cost control tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project, Excel).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
