Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Media Buyer to handle the negotiation and procurement of advertising inventory for our clients. Your primary objective will be to ensure that advertisements effectively reach target audiences through high-quality channels while keeping costs to a minimum.


 

Responsibilities:

  • Help identify target audiences and plan media campaigns.
  • Compare and negotiate rates, ad space and airtime.
  • Optimize plans and budgets according to the best media mix.
  • Prepare schedules and adjust when needed.
  • Experiment with new platforms and channels.
  • Ensure ads are creative and displayed appropriately.
  • Monitor costs and return on investment (ROI).
  • Report to clients and build long-term relationships.
  • Conducting market research and analyzing demographics, media usage, psychographic, and buying patterns to define the target audience and campaign requirements.
  • Developing advertising strategies and campaigns with marketing teams to most effectively reach the desired audience.
  • Sourcing and presenting audience data and advertising proposals to clients for feedback.
  • Proofreading advertising material before launching campaigns.
  • Coordinating and overseeing the development and launch of campaigns.
  • Negotiating with advertising sales agents to ensure the most cost-effective deal structures.
  • Managing budgets and monitoring campaign costs and ROI metrics.
  • Tracking and presenting campaign data such as views, click-through rates, engagements, and customer conversion rates.
  • Building and maintaining a network of advertising agents and broadcasting networks.
  • Monitoring audience and media trends, practices, and new technologies.

Job Requirements

  • Proven experience as a media buyer or in a similar role; experience in digital media is preferred for at least 4 years.
  • Experience in the Gulf market is preferred
  • Familiarity with media-buying, planning and research
  • Interest in following advertising and media trends
  • Working knowledge of media analytics software (e.g. comScore)
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Attention to detail
  • Critical thinking skills
  • BSc/BA in Marketing, Advertising or related field
  • Excellent in English.
  • Must be living in Alexandria.
