Job Description
- The role will act as the team leader and focal point for HSE
- Ensures competency of the team to deliver its primary functions
- Sets and agrees activity plans, objectives and key performance in respect of all HSE related matters
- Acts as custodian of the ICR HSEMS and ensures through various means that it is being complied with in all aspects of ICR business. Ensures that HSE is being managed within the line
- Sets and maintains annual HSE Plans for ICR as a whole, reporting against these on a regular basis
- Sets and maintains leading and lagging statistical data and comparison with relevant industry benchmarks
- Assists in the setting and implementation of relevant audit plans, and monitors follow-through corrective actions
- Maintains current knowledge of and disseminates information on changes to applicable regulations
- Through networks and membership of industry bodies, maintains current knowledge of and disseminates information on relevant actual and potential incidents from which ICR can learn and prevent recurrence, or translate to other relevant operations
- Ensure adequate and robust incident/emergency and crisis management capability is in place in ICR, and ensures this is exercised to maintain competence and readiness
- Assesses, appoints and manages consultancies to assist on ICR HSE matters as applicable
- Presents to ICR Board on HSE requirements, plans and performance
Job Requirements
- Strong background as an HSE professional
- Will have lead HSE teams working across multiple functions
- Will have had deep involvement in various field development and operational arenas and in applying both process and occupational health and safety principles in each
- Will comply with all company policies and with the requirements of the HSEQ Management System
- Will demonstrate personal commitment to the company’s HSEQ policy and statement.
- Will demonstrate positive personal safety behaviors at all times
- Knows and understands expectations as detailed in the company’s HSEQ Management System
- Strong understanding of process safety in theory and application
- Strong safety behavior skills and ability to build this within the overall ICR team
- Experienced in various roles in incident and emergency management
- Bachelor of chemistry only
